Pastors demand justice for colleague brutally murdered

Full Gospel Churches of Kenya are calling on Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to expedite investigations and arrest criminal who brutally killed one of their own.
This is after a mutilated body of Pastor Moses Kirimi Mugwika, a minister at Nchaure Full Gospel Church Branch was found in his rented room at Gikumene Flyover, behind Gikumene Primary School in Imenti North, Meru some days ago.
The perpetrators also stole property of unknown value including Laptop, the deceased phone and tablet but interestingly they left the music system intact in his house.
“The horrifying scene that met our eyes points to brutality and signifies inhuman nature of the perpetrators. The scene can only be equated to a slaughter house. The decomposing body laid on a pool of blood with numerous stab wounds on the chest and neck and eyes gouged out. We call upon government security apparatus led by Ministry of Interior to beef up security in the area,” Bishop Daudi Kaibung’a- the regional overseer said.
Area Sub County Police Aden Abdulahi confirmed the incident saying investigations are ongoing.
Kaibung’a lamented that cases of insecurity have escalated especially break-ins, phone snatching by knife wielding youths and killings.
“To conceal their heinous act, the perpetrators had poured salt on the mouth nose and eyes, and for his body not be discovered soon enough. They even locked his house from outside to make it appear as if no one was inside. Not long ago, an elderly lady was found murdered inside her house which is only 100meters from where Pastor Kirimi was killed. We appeal to area chief and Nyumba Kumi to come up with measures for community policing to curb spate of insecurity around Gikumene,” Kaibung’a said.
The pastors have urged MCAs Patrick Ntururu (Ntima East), Fredrick Mubichi (Nyaki West), area MP Rahim Dawood to help in Educating Kirimi’s two daughters and a son.
They also asked Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza and other relevant government agencies to improve the street lighting system especially at Flyover areas in Gikumene, Gachanka, Godown and along bypasses around Meru town.
