Meru Governor Mutuma M’Ethingia is leaving no one behind in his broadband county government leadership.

M’Ethingia on Wednesday met and tightened ties with the Meru Senator Kathuri Murungi when he paid him a courtesy call at his office.

In a post shared by Senator Kathuri on his social media platform, the two condemned violent acts were witnessed on Saba Saba day where a number of business premises were destroyed and property looted.

“I hosted the Governor for Meru County H.E. Rev. Isaac Mutuma M’ethingia when he made a courtesy call to my office. We discussed a myriad of issues towards improving the lives of people in our coveted county. We both condemned the last month’s destruction of private property in Meru town and called for peace and tranquility as we carried out our business,” he said.

The Senator who is also the Senate Deputy speaker their meeting encompassed concerted collaboration to follow up development programmes and projects being implemented between the County and National Government.

Kathuri said they appreciate the projects that are being supported by the Kenya Kwanza administration led by H.E Dr. William Samoei Ruto and his Deputy Kithure Kindiki which includes; Level 6 hospital, 800M Gakoromone market, refurbishment of Kinoru Stadium, Maua Stadium, several other markets, roads and water among others.

“I thanked the Governor for his effort to bring all our people together i.e elected leaders, church, business community, youth, women, men among others. The Governor and the Senator’s office should always work within their constitutional boundaries for the benefit of people they lead and/or represent,” Kathuri said.
