A new dawn as construction of Chuka modern market begins

In an exciting development for Tharaka Nithi County, Governor Muthomi Njuki has officially launched the construction of a state-of-the-art modern market in Chuka Igambang’ombe constituency.
This move marks a significant step toward bolstering local commerce and community engagement.
At a vibrant ceremony attended by community members and leaders, Governor Njuki highlighted the pivotal role of local involvement in the project.
Governor Njuki expressed his commitment to ensuring that all casual workers on the project come from the local community.
According to him the project will lead to job creation and economic growth in the area
The governor also urged community leaders to unite, emphasizing the need for mutual respect and shared responsibility for the well-being of constituents.
“We’re all in this together,” he declared, inspiring hope that the market will be completed within a year, heralding a new era for local businesses.
In a related effort to improve health access, Governor Njuki stressed the importance of registering for the mandatory Social Health Authority (SHA).
“Every citizen deserves quality healthcare,” he asserted, outlining how contributions will be linked to individual incomes, with government assistance for those facing financial difficulties.
He encouraged church leaders to actively support SHA registration, ensuring that no member of the community is left behind.
Speaker John Mbaabu announced that the government is designating 15% of funding for county market projects, urging fellow leaders to embrace collaboration and empower local laborers throughout the construction process.
Karingani MCA highlighted the market’s inclusive nature, stating, “Chuka market is a platform where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background.”
He reiterated the dedication to local hiring and sourcing quality materials from within the county, ensuring community interests remain a top priority.
