The National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) Board has commended North Imenti MP Rahim Dawood for his effective management of NG-CDF resources.
In recognition of this achievement, the Board announced plans to construct a multimillion shilling dining hall at Gitoro Primary School, benefiting the local community.
During the ground-breaking ceremony for the hall, NG-CDF CEO Jusuf Mbuno expressed satisfaction with how the funds have been used in the constituency, stating, “We are contented with the CDF utilization in this constituency.”
Board director Maria Lekoloto emphasized that the effective use of funds has significantly transformed various sectors across the 290 constituencies, praising the North Imenti NG-CDF committee for its exceptional performance compared to others.
“We are here to lay the foundation for a hall that will enhance the learning environment for pupils and improve their academic performance. We anticipate a significant impact. The committee is doing a commendable job. I encourage principals to acknowledge the receipt of bursaries as proof of proper fund utilization,” she stated.
Lekoloto also urged young people to take advantage of ICT hubs, which have become crucial for livelihoods.
Meanwhile, Dawood, who advocated for the hall’s construction, expressed his pride in his development achievements. “I recognize and appreciate the teachers for their dedication to improving educational standards in the constituency. I trust them fully and continue to support their efforts. I am undeterred by any challenges to my position; my development agenda continues unabated,” he declared.
Dawood also assured the community that his initiatives, including classroom expansions and school infrastructure renovations, as well as road upgrades, will proceed without interruption.
