MP Muthoni, residents hail Kailemia over transformative projects

By Gerald Mukembu

Meru Women Rep Karambu Kailemia has received praises from Nominated MP Dorothy Muthoni and residents due to her ongoing empowerment projects.
MP Muthoni hailed praises to Kailemia saying the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (Ngaaf) has changed many lives.
“Ngaaf money is very little but it is felt by women groups, youth groups and bursaries issuance. I would not think of Woman Rep Karambu Kailemia being condemned, Kailemia is expected to serve residents of all the nine constituencies.
“I am not campaigning for the current woman rep because even if you elect me the next woman rep, I may never satisfy everyone. In nine constituencies, you can imagine one MP being able to criss cross them with the little money transferred to them.

She has tried. I am supporting her until her tenure is over,” Muthoni said.
She noted that even those who are tarnishing Kailemia’s name to garner votes in 2027, let them understand they will never satisfy everybody.
Residents who spoke during her empowerment programs, they said her initiatives are transforming lives.
On her behalf, Kailemia said people should not shy away from helping the vulnerable in society but rather support each other in the smallest way they can.
She said electorates should never solely depend on politicians.
“Through my Foundation, we have sponsored 600 students to learn for free from form one to form four. All their fees are catered for because God instructs us to share the little we have,” Kailemia said.
Kailemia said she has empowered women groups through distribution hundreds of water pipes, Dairy Goats, water tanks, incubators among others.
