In a bid to empower the local community with essential financial skills, Stanbic Bank has hosted a financial literacy workshop in Chuka in Tharaka Nithi County.
The event, which drew a large turnout, was led by Archangel Michen Mbaabu and featured insightful sessions on budgeting, saving, and smart investing.
The workshop aimed to equip residents with the knowledge on making informed financial decisions, fostering a financially literate community that can thrive in today’s economy.
Notable figures in the financial sector, Kingori Gathinji and Godfrey Gada, facilitated the event, sharing their expertise and experiences with the attendees.
According to Mbaabu, the goal of the workshop was to empower the attendees with the knowledge they need to build a secure financial future.
“We’re committed to giving back to the community and helping them build a better financial future,” he said.
Other officers from Stanbic Bank echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of financial education in transforming lives.
“Financial literacy is a powerful tool that can change the course of one’s life. We’re proud to be part of this effort and look forward to many more such initiatives,” said Godfrey Gada.
The attendees praised the initiative, highlighting the importance of such educational programs in promoting financial stability and growth.
“It’s incredibly beneficial to receive this kind of guidance. I’m now better prepared to manage my finances and plan for the future,” said Alexander Murithi, a local resident.
The attendees also urged Stanbic Bank to continue providing such valuable workshops, especially during times of economic constraints.
“Their message and workshops have really benefited us,” said Catherine Mukami. “We hope they continue to support us whenever possible.”
