Meru Deputy Governor Mutuma M’Ethingia, Wednesday, toured Maua police station to show solidarity with members of public arrested during the chaotic Okolea event in Makiri village, Igembe South on Sunday.
The event was halted as two groups battled each other in what is seen as a widening of the ill political relationship between Governor Kawira Mwangaza and her Deputy.
Several people were injured as disgusted locals slaughtered a cow and burnt materials meant for donation by the Baite Family as many saw the gesture as a mockery to the embattled DG.
