Governor Kawira reacts to Kananu’s ouster by Kiraitu’s party
Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza has retorted the ouster of Nominated MCA Ruth Kananu.
Kananu was ousted from all the Meru County Assembly Committees by former Governor Kiraitu Murungi’s Devolution Empowerment Party (DEP) days after she paid a visit to Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza.
According to sources, the party Secretary General Mugambi Imanyara ordered for the ouster after Kananu met with the governor.
Kananu who was nominated to the Assembly by the DEP party is the second MCA to face the wrath of political parties for backing Governor Kawira. Kiagu MCA Kiambi Ngaruni was the first to be whipped by his UDA for supporting Kawira.
Reacting to the news of the ouster Governor Kawira reassured Ms Kananu that all will be well despite the whipping by his party.
Quoting a biblical verse Kawira noted that the DEP move will guarantee Kananu a political success in his political journey
“Romans 8:28-And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. It’s well my sister. Love you and my support 100%. Your political success journey starts today,” Kawira posted in her Facebook account
