One of Meru’s most decorated coaches has joined a top league club-Kajiado FC as the new head coach. Mutembei is famous in Meru for nurturing many upcoming clubs and talented players to the top ranks.
A close associate of Mutembei confirmed to The County Focus Newspaper the deal with the Kajiado team but did not reveal the length of the contract or financial details.
The Meru-based Coach is well-known for nurturing top talents such as Ruiri stars who boast of an unbeaten record in the County league.
Mutembei has coached other teams such as Taqwa, Olympics in Isiolo and Chogoria stars in Tharaka Nithi leading them to the top slot in division two.

The local tactician advised young Meru footballers to think beyond the County and explore football in other challenging environments.
