The race for promotion to the National Super League has been wild this season, as 3K Football Club, A.P.S Bomet Football Club and Fortune Sacco Sports Club confirm their promotion with 3K FC winning the title on 60 points and Fortune Sacco finishing just two points behind them to return to the top-flight.
A.P.S Bomet alias Black Berets and Fortune Sacco FC were relegated to Division One last season.
The Black Berets were crowned the champions of Division One Zone B after edging Mofa FC 1:0 in their final match.
Fortune Sacco finished second position in the FKF Division one Zone A league with two points behind 3K FC after suffering defeat of 1-0 in their final match against Omax fc booking a slot in NSL promotion play off. Fortune Sacco played MOFA fc in NSL promotion play off which ended 3-0 in favor of Fortune Sacco awarding them an automatic promotion.
Elias Mugane netted the first goal for Fortune Sacco to keep them ahead in first half with 10 Minutes remaining to end the game. Jacob Wangui scored the second goal and a minute later Mark Epaa scored the third goal.
It is through this defeat that saw Head Coach Kassim Otieno and Assistant Coach Gaddy Omondi relieved from their duties at Michael Olunga Football Academy (MOFA).
3K FC from Embu becomes the first team from Mt Kenya East to play in the National Super league after winning the Div 1 Zone A title. In their final match which was played at Moi stadium,Embu County saw the ‘home of stars’ score 3 Goals to One against Kibra united. 3KFC conceded the least number of goals (24) in the league
