Meru County health workers have issued a strike notice starting 9th of October this year in what they say is being given a deaf hear by Governor Kawira Mwangaza despite knocking at her office severally since she entered into office.
Addressing the media, the Union’s secretary general Nesbit Mugendi said the Governor has never provided a platform for them to air their concerns more than a year down the line despite their relentless efforts to contact her.
“The Governor has never met our union since she assumed office. We have tried our best. We have contacted her office but she is never available to meet us,” said Mugendi.
